Barry Scow

HiŁamas, was born in Alert Bay, British Columbia and is a member of the Kwikwasutinux First Nation. Barry apprenticed with the late Joe Peters Jr. for ½ years, he then worked with Beau Dick and Wayne Alfred for an additional year and a half. In 1992 he took a carving course under the instruction of Wayne Alfred and his work was exhibited in the U’mista Cultural Centre, Kwakwaka’wakw Artistic Traditions Presented in the Contemporary Arena.
